The Story of Joe Matzzie

Joe Matzzie is a composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist. His compositions and songs have appeared in movies, television, radio, web videos, theater and interactive games.

Joe developed his keen intuition about the relationship between music and movies after extensive work creating and arranging music for live theater. He served as musical director for the likes of King’s County Shakespeare Company, and The Actors Shakespeare Company while he was living in New York City.

A native of Pittsburgh, Matzzie has been performing and composing music his entire life. He is a graduate of the Film Scoring Department at Berklee College of Music, and also holds a degree in Classical Guitar Performance from Duquesne University.

He currently works and lives in Los Angeles.
